Doctors
worry medical mystery could be this generation’s polio

New York - Amid fears of the Ebola virus's reach
into the U.S., a more enigmatic virus is suspected of causing
paralysis in dozens of children nationwide as doctors race to solve
one of the most perplexing mysteries of their careers.
Enterovirus D68, which has hospitalized hundreds of children in
almost every state and been linked to at least four deaths, may also
have caused unexplained paralysis cases from Boston to San Diego,
doctors said. Researchers said they fear the virus known as EV-D68
could be this generation's version of polio, said Ben Greenberg, a
neurologist at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center.
Non-polio enterovirus is related to the
common cold, and this rare strain has hit children hardest. There
have been 538 confirmed cases of EV-D68 in 43 states, beginning in
the Midwest in August, according to the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention, though doctors said the number is probably far
greater since not all those infected are tested. Most only experience
symptoms such as a runny nose, though a small percentage develop
serious breathing difficulties, especially those with a history of
such issues including asthma.

In rare cases, some children develop a fever, then headaches,
neck pain, and within a few days or weeks, a swift and sudden
paralysis that in the most severe cases left children bound to a
wheelchair, unable to speak or breathe on their own, said Keith Van
Haren, a Stanford School of Medicine neurologist who has been
studying a link between the virus and paralysis since 2012.

In livestock we call this: “Polioencephalomalacia (PEM) is an
important neurologic disease of ruminants that is seen worldwide.
Cattle, sheep, goats, deer, and camelids are affected. The term PEM
denotes a lesion with certain gross and microscopic features that are
not specific for a particular etiology or pathogenesis. Historically,
PEM has been associated with altered thiamine status, but more
recently an association with high sulfur intake has been
observed.”.http://www.merckmanuals.com/vet/nervous_system/polioencephalomalacia/overview_of_polioencephalomalacia.html

I wonder how many more dead or paralyzed children it will take
before the CDC decides to stop the use of sulfur in manufacturing
Ethanol which is then used as livestock feeds, passing on high
concentrations of sulfur in eggs, milk and meat to our children.

non-polio mysterious

Why Doctors Still Don’t Know What's Causing a Paralysis-Inducing Illness in Children

More children are showing up with limb flaccidness than health officials would expect, but the illness remains rare and mysterious

In California, many health experts suspect that a non-polio enterovirus (polio itself is an enterovirus) may be the culprit of the polio-like illness.

Acute Flaccid Myelitis

Pediatricians and child neurologists aren't quite sure what they are up against.

A mysterious polio-like syndrome has developed in at least 100 children across the country, who also came down with Enterovirus D-68.

One six-year-old girl being treated at Children's of Alabama has paralysis in both her arms. She is on a ventilator to help her breathe.

The paralysis has doctors across the country stumped. Neurologists are certain it isn't polio. but the
symptoms are similar.

They've named it
Acute Flaccid Myelitis.

Acute -- since it happens suddenly. Flaccid -- because the limbs affected are weak. And Myelitis --which refers to inflammation of the nerve cells in the spinal cord.

I would strongly recomend Dr. Jayne Ness take a serious look at PEM (polioencephalomalacia ) which has been on a steady rise in the cattle industry over the last 10 years and causes the exact same symptom.

In cattle it is caused from ingesting excess amounts of sulfur which blocks the absorption of copper and attacks the spinal cord.

Here is a case that might be worth reading.

CDC cites 2 more deaths in EV-D68 cases, more polio-like illnesses

Today's update suggests a slight uptick in overall EV-D68 activity the week of Oct 26 to Nov 1, with cases described as low in 37 states, elevated in 7, and increasing in 3. A week earlier, EV-D68 circulation was listed as low in 39 states and elevated in 7, with 4 not reporting.
Polio-like cases reach 70
In the related investigation, the CDC reported that the number of recent unexplained neurologic illnesses involving limb weakness in children has reached 70, up by 6 since a week ago. The number of affected states is now 29, one more than last week.
The case definition used in the investigation involves acute onset of focal limb weakness since Aug 1 in persons under 21 years old, with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) evidence of a lesion mainly in the gray matter of the spinal cord.
The CDC said it is still checking fewer than half a dozen additional reports of similar polio-like illnesses.

Neurological disorders are often caused by neurological poisons

In India in 2011 over 43,000 children were paralyzed or died from NPAFP--Non-Polio Acute Flaccid Paralysis. These were caused by the polio vaccine, 'donated' by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (they are being sued by India). There has been an extreme explosion of neurological disorders in the past decade in our children.  My friend took her cat to the vet.  She got her shots, and the next day couldn't use her front paws.  They had to put her down.  She was paralyzed and in extreme pain.  Our bodies cannot detoxify all of the neurological poisons injected into us.  Human vaccines contain aluminum and trace amounts of thimeresol-mercury.  These are just as toxic as lead, which can cause the cattle disease.  Something is going on that is very ugly, and all of the corruption in our government should wake us up to realize the CDC & FDA are just an arm of it.  We are ingesting and having injected into us extremely poisonous substances.  If you notice, the stories don't mention that most of these children were recently vaccinated.  This is why it is prevalent between August and October.  Most children receive their 'shots' right before school or preschool begin.  Our media is just as corrupt as our government. smiley: sicksmiley: frown
